Looking at the overdrive instilation manual that you can grab on the net in a few places, it mentions to be careful not to remove the anti scuff paste from the overdrive.

Mine is clean, no paste on it.

Is this something that I am missing?

If so, is this paste something that can be purchased?

Fairey overdrive by the way.

Put moly grease or moreys on the gear teeth at installation time so they are lubed duringb the 1st load phase.

Hi Phoenix style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif
the anti-scuff paste was I think, a graphite grease which was coated on new units by the manufacturer I would recommend to use WYNN'S gear oil (purple and white tube 125 ml) not real cheap , but real good, I run it in G/box, T/fer, and both diffs, and in swivels with the oil, it quietens it all down and lasts between oil changes I have used this brand of products since the 1960's and have had no complaints style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif 'Tis is not a paid advert flogg!!!"
