BROKEN FUEL FILTER

Was lifting the camper body off the 110 today and it fell off the jacks and has broken the top off the fuel filter which sits next to the chassis.
Of course it spilt its contents all over my 4 day old concrete slab which has taken me 7 years to put down. :censored:
My question now is: What do I have to do to start the truck, apart from fixing the filter?

Fill the filter with fuel and wind over (if your lucky).

Alternatively, do the above while lightly pressurising the tank (via the breather with a compressor/bicycle pump).

Or get your hands on the proper bleeding tool.

The fuel filter housing that bolts to the chassis came today from England and so down I went to install it...........:cool:
well let the fun begin.
Firstly, you have to remove the 4 lines in and out of the filter. They have fittings that have to depressed so as to allow the lip on the plastic pipe that forms the top of the housing to come out of the secure fitment.
Ha.
Grime and shizer built up in the fittings so its a hell of job to get off. If you break the fittings, you have to buy the complete hose from whatever end you have buggered and this is big $.
I snapped the ends of the top fitting off in the hoses to get it off the top of the housing and then drilled out the snapped off piece, washed the hose ends out to remove swarf from drilling and fitted the new filter housing to the chassis.
All the while fretting over air getting into the system from each end that I played with and not looking forward to trying to bleed the system once fixed.
Well, your anus and the other planets must have been aligned because "Uncle Buck" started first kick and I'm really chuffed as I was not looking forward to the bleed dramas.
So now I'm waiting on my custom springs from Dobinson's and I'll fit both these and the new shocks.
In the meantime a local fella is fabricating a chassis that brings together the mounting points on both the LR and the new camper body which was built for a LandCruiser chassis.
I will post photos as I go along.:)
