I am sure someone will have mentioned this but couldn't find anything using search. The defenders seem to have quite small drains for the doors and mine were all blocked and also the door frame rusty. Whats more compared to a normal door frame, you can't get down to clean it all properly either. Mine is a 96 with lower door seal attached to door. I am considering grinding a series of slots between that seal and the outer door skin and then use some sealant when it put the door seal back. I figure that will give greater ability to drain and also i can easily get a wire up there to help any blockage etc.

Not sure if that makes sense but anybody done something similar or any warnings of problem this will create?

There is an old saying.....
You can not stop water getting in, but you can stop water staying in.

Drill the holes out to at least 8mm and spray all the doors internally with Linseed oil and you will never have a corrosion problem.
The Linseed oil will create a film and set rock solid after a couple months.
