Recently bought a Defender 130 Duel cab and was wondering how to access the compartment under the rear seats.
The manual shows a quick release on the seats, but that was for a 110.
My seat is bolted in.
Any ideas?

Its not a compartment as such. Just an upside down box. Seat is bolted down, so you have to remove the seat to get to it. Some people put water tanks in there...

On the sides of the top part of the seat are screws u can undo by hand. Then the seats fold forward giving I access to the box.

Suggest go one step further - replace the bolt fitting at the top with a simple catch and then can fold the seat forward whenever you want to.

Frees up a lot of space both under and behind the seat.

I thought it a rather inconvenient storage location, especially with child seats. I have a water tank in my tray, so I put a fuel tank in there, additional filler on the side, fuel is pumped to the main tank.
You can buy off the shelf (http://www.oppositelock.com.au/index.php?action=prodcatalogue&form_name=view_product&category_id=131&product_id=169&pageID=10079§ionID=0) or have a tank custom made.
