Hello,

I'm interested in installing a hidden switch or something similar to add en extra security anti-theft layer to my Defender 110 Td4.
Any useful information or ideas about what to connect/disconnect to made engine starting impossible :nazilock: will be greatly appreciated.

Thanking in advance for any advice.

There is a bit of info on this thread re Defender security: Defender2 - View topic - So is a cheap or top of the range immobliser going to work ? (http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24367.html)

After a recent 'fault' with my '95 110 I'm seriously considering hooking a relay to the wire going to the top of the starter solenoid.

Damn thing lit up and clicked but nothing from the starter. Only way to get around it was to buggerise around under the bonnet .

A switch to isolate the fuel pump provides a good deterrent and is easy to fit. Nothing stops a determined thief but this is a cheap and effective way of preventing the vehicle from starting.

Oh yeah, it's just occurred to me. I fitted deadlocks to the doors as an added deterrent. Got them from the UK - see Zone 3950 2 Bolt Mortice Deadlock | Mortice Deadlocks (http://www.easylocks.co.uk/zone-3950-bolt-mortice-deadlock-mortice-deadlocks-p-2961.html)

The people there were very helpful. All locks provided were keyed alike and with a bit of fettling, not too difficult to fit. Drop me a note if you want more info.
