I have just had the above replaced under warranty on my 2011 110 puma after 49k of easy light use. The dealer had the part in stock which makes me think that they do quite a few. I was told that the part has been upgraded . The big issue for me now is the freelander they gave as a loan car, her indoors wants me to trade the defender in. It's not going to happen.:BigThumb

Yes unfortunately seen this on a 2009 110. Towing but not hard use, about the same km's, too.

Must be an intermittent problem with the hardening of the adapter shaft internal splines?, as we have many other Pumas doing lots more Km's and lots harder work with no issues.

We were searching for a new car when I spotted a p38 up the back of the lot. "How bout a Range Rover" I said. One test drive later and a lot of research that said "dont do it!", and we have a car we both love being in. And I think she loves me a little bit more too.:D

Freelander for an SUV was quite impressive off road and refined, however being i6 model it was a bit of a drinker. I cannot afford two drinkers :D.
