Winners - Australia's Best Cars (http://www.australiasbestcars.com.au/WINNERS-2013/Best-All-Terrain-4-Wheel-Drive)

The disco has won the Australias Best Cars All Terrain 4WD category for the 9th time. Looks like its going to take something pretty significant to knock it off the ladder. :)

Of course if you buy a 2014 model you cannot be a member of AULRO - DISCOVERY on the bonnet instead of LAND ROVER - its an abomination. Now I could sort of understand it for Range Rover, albeit why wouldnt you cant to be obviously driving a Land Rover product, but some hoyties might like some class distinction, but Discovery...really...???:D

Probably get a bit of flack here, but I wonder how close the decision may have been had they compared the Jeep with terrain response and air suspension, or the next model up which is still cheaper than the TDV6 Discovery ;)

Cheers, Craig

To which they would reply that the Defender is one of only a handful of cars to have failed the moose test. ;)
Not that you swerve for a moose in a Defender :)

Even with that kit 'do' try putting the two back wheels of a jeep in a drain with nice slippery grass and see if you can find a one wheel drive I.M.O. (the jeep had road rubber on it)

Discos with skinny rubber on silly rims are hamstrung I.M.O. so I am not completely biased :D Flack helmet and anti flash gear on myself now Craig:D:D

...and that's with a driver who knows what he's doing :o.

BTW is it just me who thinks those people behind the camera are nuts? I thought the camera was unmanned up to the last segment.
