PTO & gear selection

I have a Mazda T4000 dualcab tipper.
Just lately I have had touble selecting 1st gear.
I have also noticed the hydraulic fluid reservour is also leaking alittle (possibliy from either the tank or the connections, I'll have to do a good cleanup :angel:).
The gear does'nt crunch, just very hard to select.
Could the hard selection of the gear be related to the hydraulic fluid leak?

i'd say not.....more likely clutch or gearbox problem.

Check gearbox oil level. A leaking shaft seal in the pump may put oil into the gearbox and be causing an issue. Most have a weep hole between the pump/pto to stop this, but have seen lots "fixed" with a tek screw!
