oh wise ones...
whats the best sort of bulkhead air vent seals these days, the foam on the flap style or the old style rubber on the bulkhead style?

Personally I think the old style are better but a few people have commented that the vents are difficult to close initially when using the **itpart seals.

Old style 'look correct'.
Foam gasket stuck on the vent seems a cheaper item to produce (rather than better ?) but aren't always cheaper to buy.....

I got the bulkhead seals mentioned by Colin above, and had to slice them in half to get them to fit. Even then it needed a fair amount of pressure from the outside to get them to shut.
I glued them on and left them tightly shut for a few months, now the foam has settled into shape it works well.

Hello from Brisbane.
This one is a bit difficult - the originals look better to me, but seem to be fairly hard to get these days, whereas I don't think the stick on units are LR parts and the quality seems to vary from all accounts.
A lot of traffic on the new stick on units seems to suggest that fitting them isn't entirely straight forward with a fair bit of surgery or patience required to close the vents or get a good seal.
I have a set amongst my glory box of parts but have yet to raise the courage to have a go at fitting them - I suspect leaving well enough alone for now will be my likely strategy.

I got a run of the mill push on seal from clark rubber when I did mine and they seemed to do the job, just pushed them on the lip of the opening
