So I get this email tonight from Land Rover World [lr_world@yahoo.com] ???

Dear Land Rover Owner,

We have spotted your Land Rover pictures on the internet and were wondering if you would like them to appear in the new Land Rover World Web Page. If you are interested in being published on our new web page, please send between 1 and 20 pictures to pictures@landroverworld.org. Be sure to include your name, your location, your vehicle, and a list of modifications if any.

If you have any questions, please email us at questions@landroverworld.org. Our new web page is not functional right now but will be up before the end of March. However, the bulletin board is fully functional as of today. Please sign up here if you are interested in being part in the fastest growing Land Rover community.

Thank you,

Land Rover World

I'm quite happy with this fastest growing Land Rover Community. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

At least thay haven't asked for my internet banking details and password...not yet at least and not that it would do them much good anyway.

Unless they want to pick up the cost of the next major service 8O

hmmm......wheres david?

Just so long as this forum doesn't go the way of others with more crap posted just to achieve the dubious honour of having the highest post count.

Bushie,

Frankly I agree.{Serious icon}

I have given up on a couple of others because you can't get a word in edge-wise. I don't mind a bit of fun but when it turns into a rabble...

A bit of sanity check is required, a bit of restraint rather than who posts loudest wins.

I've had a hard day at work trying to have sense heard over volume. :x

Just found this bit that I thought you might like to read.

Plans . . .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all we are using pictures that are being submitted and turning them into avatars. For those of you that do not know what that is, it is a little image by your name everytime you post. If you submit pictures to the website, there is a good chance that your rover will be an avatar for other users.

Next, the main goal is to finish the rest of the website which should be up by the end of March. I will keep everyone posted.

Lastly, everyone should be aware of the referral program that Land Rover World is using. The more referrals you give (they have to enter your username when they register) the more power you have in the forum! Experiment with it.

This is what they might do with your photos once you have submitted them.
