Syngic Maps Discounted

For anybody interested in off-line turn by turn navigation, Syngic maps are discounted at the moment ~30-50% off. Supposedly this weekend only - but who really knows.

It guess they are discounting because the last lot of updates basically killed the app on many phones and they are now getting lots and lots of bad reviews and as a consequence sales have dropped.

Their standard response to the bad reviews is to say to contact their help centre but they never respond.

I bought the Europe suite back in May and the Aus-NZ set on special when we got home at the end of July. Useless on my SSG 2 phone (can't read the screen in normal daylight ) but worked brilliantly on a Samsung G 10.1 Note when we got "lost" a couple of times O/S . I'd turned off auto updates so was not affected...that I know of!
Were the troublesome updates for maps or operating system?

I bought the Aus and Europe suite yesterday, will be heading over there next year for a while.

Everything works fine with all the current updates (both Android and Syngic) on my Nexus 7 (2013).

I was in Greece a few years ago with Sygic on my iphone and ipad. It was erroring out on the phone and wouldn't start but worked fine on the ipad. This was in Greece only, seemed to work fine everywhere else and worked ok back here.
