360,000ks and original gearbox changed to penrite 75-80 semi syn
only did about 30ks to check it out seems great no more cold change issues
anyone else used this oil and any comments on it seems better then the 85

That oil is very close to MTF94 in spec and IIRC is the recommended fluid for the R380 in the Penrite website.
I ran the Penrite 75/85 full synthetic which is pretty good but still baulked a bit when cold going from 1st to second.
I think most run a full syn here because of the better protection at higher temps (in theory) which is pretty common especially in norther Oz.
I now run a 50/50 blend of Penrite full synthetic 70/75 and the 75/85 and the shift is smooth all the time hot or cold so hopefully all good in the box.
(maybe Rick our resident oil Guru could comment on my backyard blending:angel:)
Years ago I ran the Nulon smooth shift 75/85, it was ok warm but terrible when cold even up here where it doesn't really get cold:D.
Cheers,
Paul.
