Price difference on 255's

A mate just bought a landcruiser (sucker) and it had a brand new set of BFG KM2's under it, 255/85/16.
He went straight out and bought a set of 35's and offered me a set of 4 for $400!!!
Needed a spare so just did a quick ring around hobart and the price difference was huge between stores, from $429 f/b and $380 f/b.
Lastly rang the tyre dealer I have been getting our coopers of for years and he sorted me a tyre for $310 f/b.:D
Funny thing was they all source their BFG's from the same Michelen wholesaler in Hobart.
Anyway getting them all fitted up tommorow, will post a pic.

I got a quote of $300 for Cooper ST (255) the other day. Tyres here are wayyyyyy pricier than the UK.

Does anyone know of a cheaper place to get Copper ST's? (255/85s)

My KM2s got a hammering this year so I will need to change them at some point, with a trailer I need 8 of them! :O
