Hi All. Finally took deliver of my Disco yesterday. Absolutely wrapped. Will post some snaps when I work out how that works on this site. :)
One nice surprise when I pick up the car was that a friend organized a LR Cooler Bag as a present. Nice little bonus.
My question. We're going on a day trip tomorrow. Is it safe enough to leave it plugged in all day? I haven't added any secondary batteries as yet, so it will be drawing off the standard battery.
Thanks in advance.

Car kills power to the aux sockets after 10min or so automatically so i wouldnt be too concerned for the car batteries. Your beers in the fridge getting warm on the other hand...!

Damn. Didn't know that. Guess I'd better read the manual. :) Thanks for the heads up.

Easy to bypass the timed circuit by removing the relay on the lower right of the fuse box behind the glove box and making up a jumper with two male spade connectors. I'd have to did out the details but there as a thread on here somewhere. Be warned and keep an eye on current draw and battery voltage when running accessories.

No time like the present to begin your mods. Start with a full Traxide dual battery kit with rear sockets

X3 for a Traxide dual battery kit. Mine was about $640 and took an afternoon to fit. It takes a bit of pulling and prodding of various bits of the car but nothing too tough. All the wires are perfectly cut and crimped. I have both rear power sockets linked up to the new circuit and also an Anderson socket which I charge my camper from. I feel a real sense of comfort with the quality and design of the system- you get a cut off too. I did think it was a tad expensive initially (for a bunch of pre cut wires) but you get what you pay for!
