Hi

I get mine from ebay last time

Jaguar V12 Engine Mount KIT | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261132316738'ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)

but really any British part supplier will provide. I've had a few sets over the years from different suppliers

They still tear it just takes longer so keep an eye on them

You may what to check your vehicle ID as far as I know there never was a V8 defender, they are 110 V8's, but most sold here were counties (trim level) so you'll often see them called County V8s by most Landy people.

This also can affect a few parts when ordering.

There was a post on here a couple of years ago showing a set of custom engine mounts designed to fit in place of the original rover type and take the torque of larger engines, they were fabricated with a pin and bush taking the engine weight & torque forces laterally. Having lived with Rover V8s for many years and replaced my share of engine mounts (and the Jaguar ones don't last much longer than the Rover ones), they looked like a clever solution. Might be worth doing a search. Would not be difficult to fabricate something similar. A bit difficult to describe in writing, but they used a metal-sleeved bush similar to the panhard rod bushes rather than the bonded rubber pad of the rover / jaguar mounts.

QT mounts

or you could chain your rubber mounts, the genuine ones last longer than aftermarket.

I had QT mounts in my 2 door Rangie. For both the trans and the engine, as I used to keep tearing them apart being locked and with 35s. Worked a treat, no problems and surprisingly not many vibrations compared to the standard mounts. I'd recommend them, fit and forget!
