hi all got a question any input appreciated changed all the drive line oils the other day, I filled up the front and rear diffs to normal levels
a mate reckons I should have put in a couple of extra pumps of oil as the bearings are oil feed is this correct or does it not matter, maxi drive axles and flanges all round cheers.

Should only be necessary if you have drained the bearings.

Just because you have Maxidrive axles and drive flanges does not automatically mean you have oil fed/lubricated wheel bearings. All Maxidrive shafts have the stock oil seal land on them so depending on who installed them, they could still be sealed and grease packed...

When I fitted my first set of maxidrive axles and flanges and converted the hub to oil lubed the instructions stated to fill the diff half way up the filler plug so the surplus oil can migrate out to the wheel bearings.
I find it takes about an extra half a litre and I always park the truck on a slope to fill the diffs.

Cheers,
Paul.
