Change over

Hi guys

Im looking at replacing my 96 v8 disco 1 (only for a fresh change) to a 2002 series ii. My 96 disco has all the steel bars front and rear protection, snorkle and suspension lifts. Apart from air bag suspension in rear of the series ii, Does anyone know whether other items on 96 discoseries i can be changed to the new disco series ii.

Hi Adrian, The D2 is a totally different vehicle,the steering, the chassis rails wider and are different to a d1 so bar fitting requires change, the bar MUST have Crush cans to be legal in a crash as the SRS system on a D2. Shocks are different, Snorkel different, the body panels on a D2 are different to a D1.

PS . Don't expect the turning circle of a D2 to be as small as your D1s , the D2 does not have swivel pins like the D1. Very annoying for tight U turns so I found out, the D1 would breeze it, the D2 gets you very close to mounting the gutter.
