Today for the first time I noticed the TC light was on & the hill decent & exclamation mark.

It was raining & the wipers would not go. I stopped & restarted the car & all was well for two minutes then the lights & no wipers.Things are not looking good for the future of the Lander :no2:

The car has a shot rear diff mount that will be replaced in the cumming weeks, could this be related? Or a separate electrical problem?

Has anyone had this problem? Any advice? (apart from driving it of the closest cliff)

Thanks folks.

Replace the switch on the back of the ignition switch.
Can't remember what it cost on mine but it didn't break the bank.

So I purchased a new switch today on line & am hoping this fixes the problem. Could someone please talk me through the replacement? Is it a simple enough job for someone who has little experience working in cars? Anything I need to know before I start taking the ignition apart? Thank everyone for your help with this.

easy job to do. unscrew lower cover around steering column and remove. remove upper cover. remove 2 screws that fit switch. remove plug on switch. refit reverse order. The lower column cover is a bit tricky to remove around tilt lever and ignition, just be gentle with it.
