turbo not working fully

Im trying to work out whats happening.
Goes like this....01 d2 manual, starts fine but then just. as it gets in to rev range for the turbo , it feels like the turbo isnt working. Can feel that it wants to work but its not. Any suggestions? Or point me in the right direction to search. Cheers goose

Thanks v8ian. Will look into things. Planned to go camping tomorrow, thoughts on using said disco to tow camper trailer. Still possible or not?

Hard to guess, have a good look over it and see if you can find anything. Also check all the hose clamps (air intake).

Can you hear anything unusual when the turbo starts working? A loose hose on the induction system is the first place I would look but listen for air escaping when the turbo is working.

Are you towing the camper very far?

Awabbit6, when driving cant hear and new or unuual sounds coming from the engine bay. But will go round and look at all hose clamps etc tomorrow morning.
Not heading too far at all. Just down to nambucca heads from woolgoolga, so say 70km if that. Will be parked up til 26th then head back up the pacific hwy
