ALDI ANIMALS

A week or so ago my 29 yo daughter joined the mad throng at aldi to try to get a robot vacuum.At the table there was a mad scramble,an old lady with a walking frame was knocked over,one woman reached over the old lady to get a vacuum and my daughter grabbed her and threw her half way across the shop before helping the poor old lady up and seeing if she was ok.Just a couple of grazes.Oh and she missed out on a vacuum.People can act like animals in the right conditions:mad:

Boxing Day Sale news reports always make me shake my head in disbelief.

I have a friend who works in one of the large department stores who worked last Boxing Day and said that it was no better than feeding hungry wolves out of the same bowl.

A bargain is OK but to go through the angst and the push and shove to get it is ridiculous.

He also said that the women were far more aggressive than the men in pushing and shoving to get the thing they wanted.

Myself, I will be sitting back on Boxing Day watching the POMS self implode and maybe latter I will go on-line and shop at my leisure for a post Xmas bargain.

Your daughter may have missed out on the vacuum, but she picked up a lot of credits on the Karma register. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

My wife missed out on one at Green Point ALDI as she was 15 minutes late, but they found one for her at another store or somewhere anyway.

I picked it up that afternoon and returned it one day later as it didn't agree with the tassles on our persian rugs and couldn't climb over the tubular metal bases on some of our chairs.
What earthly use is a robot vacuum ( which is really a carpet sweeper with a puny vac action) if you have to come and rescue it all the time?.
My son has a different brand and was proudly showing me how it did his shag pile rug, that was until it got stuck on the corner.
The technology has quite a way to go I am afraid unless you have a wide open room like an office with no low furniture and no rugs. Or you have 1K for a real one.
So tell your daughter she had a fortunate miss.

Girl I used to work with had one of those robot vacuum cleaners. Had a video of it working on her phone. Not quite as strange as that sounds. Every time it came out of its charging point to do its job the cat would leap on to it and ride around the house on it. An expensive toy to keep the cat amused.

Errrr, what? Last I looked Arthur, the only animals Aldi sell come chopped up in small pieces, wrapped up on a plastic tray. And if you took them to the RSPCA for rehoming, you might get a funny look.
