So sorry to hear, its one of the bad ones for sure. Took my grand father and father. If this has come on quick and out of the blue, then the ONLY solace is that.

That is sad news Andrew, I feel for him and his family, I hope he is not in any discomfort both physically and emotionally, that the drugs he has been given allow him to go peacefully.
We are all dealt a different hand of life cards, some, for whatever reason, are dealt a hand that is hard to understand

Very sad. As another member here told me once, a short battle with cancer is usually better than a long one. I hope him and his loved ones find peace soon.

Sorry to hear this Andy.
So sad when its so close to a major event such as Xmas, which will make all the more distressing for you all.
As he's a good mate of yours, I suspect he's into a bit of fishing too. You'd best go out and have a fish for him, and remember your good times together.
Any form of cancer is horrendous, so one can only hope he passes in peace with loved ones near him.
Condolences to all his family and friends.

Thanks everybody.
For Julian, his suffering over the last 8 months or so is all but over.
Its sad that he leaves behind a wife and 14 year old son whom has had to grow up very quickly over the last 6 months.

Sad news indeed mate, I'm guessing the young fella will come to appreciate knowing you're around to talk to and get some guidance from as he needs it.

That's rotten news mate. Makes you wonder some time with all the scumbags out there and the good people suffer. All you can do is be there for your mates family. Despite this, have a merry Christmas mate.
