My elderly mum lives and owns her own home is a housing estate. Her neighbors on one side is a bogan woman with to terrors who always throw toys what ever over the fence. Mum has approached this woman about it.
But you can't reason with bogans.
The properties in this housing area has no dividing fences at the front, so the pavement is about 4 meters from each house's front door.
Bogan next door always parks here car on her front lawn, her privilage. But to do this she mounts mums driveway crossover to access her lawn. She doesn't use here own drive way.
Mum reversed her car down the drive way, just as bogan was coming home and gave mum a stare with the look of "how dare you inconvenience me because my mum was on the drive way."

Well today we had a family get together and as we were saying good bye to mum out front on the nature strip, as quick as a blink a Pagero comes around where I was standing, mounts my mum's driveway and drive across it to access the Bogan woman's lawn, He drives right up to the front door , to kids get out and he drives off over the gutter and is gone, all this in a few seconds.
What is it with these people, can't even pull up kerb side and let the kids walk a whole 4 metres to the front door like a civilised person would do.
I don't want a confrontation, Mums on her own and if she complains to the next door land lord then they will know it was her.
I can't put tyre spikes:twisted::twisted::twisted: on the edge of the drive way as pedestrians will injure them selves

Red arrow indicate bogans route to park on their lawn, even though they have a there own driveway, it's a case of too much inconvenience to reverse, this way drive in drive out
Have to rant as it's Christmas eve, and tommorow is good will to all men. Rant over

Plant a tree either side of the driveway, near the road, with big training posts; or a couple of nice big decorative boulders,

I think a nice picket fence either side of your mum's driveway would look nice.....

Temporary barricading (ya know that orange stuff) with a few star pickets will slow them up for a bit! It's not a fence, just an inconvenience!

Be careful with driving posts or star pickets in the nature strip. If you hit a utility trench......can be very expensive. (or worse). And Merry Christmas to all except your mum's neighbours. ;)

A difficult situation for your Mum. Yes, bogans are a different breed, all they care about are themselves and give no thought to the convenience of anybody else.
I would be careful about planting or erecting stuff out the front as I think that would be council responsibility, wouldn't it? The council would probably ask her to remove it.
I really have no suggestions but I feel for anybody forced to endure bogan type neighbours when all they really want is peace and quiet.:(

get your mum or a friend to park/leave car at the nature strip end of the driveway[red arrow area] that way it is being used by its owner and nobody can complain

Mate,

You could go to the council and grab two council-approved trees and plant them either side of the driveway on the nature strip. Star picket them for "protect from the wind', precast concrete ring around them, etc.

Or if you (and your mum :( ) are looking for trouble, set up a CCTV camera on the garage, get a collection of driving misdemeanours and take it to the cops/council for action.

As they're renting she could complain to the department of consumer affairs - there's forms online - in regards to community safety.
The land lord and real estate agency is bound by law to do something about it.

Complaints are anonymous too - though I'd be kind of obvious who made it though...

must be related to our renting neighbors. only difference is they have two off street parking areas, a corner block, but insist on using the same approach to park on the nature strip. i do take great fun in blocking the access route then sit back and watch the multi point exit manouveres !

I know how she feels..although at least I dont have to be subjected to it daily..

There is a couple of women that ride their horses down through the national park at the back of my place but rather than drive their cars and floats down there they park up outside the front of my house in the nature strip..

I have never minded this before as they have never been much of a drama, however last time they came..I was sat on my front veranda (which they didnt know) this blob of a women pulled up right next to my garden fence...unloaded her cob and parked the cob right next to the fence.

my dogs were out the front (sat there watching her quietly) and one of them barked once..she was like stop it. I ignored it then she was doing something near the fence again and the dog barked again...

she proceeded to then start shouting at my dogs telling them to get lost and shut up etc etc...

I stood up and said Oi don't scream at my dogs and then it was on. she was going to call the police and everything.

I explained to the women not to shout at my dogs while they are in their garden that she is parked directly in front of...I said you don't like it then don't park here and **** off!!

She was like I will park where I want!!!

I said a few suggestive things about her trailer and she promptly reversed it down the road a bit and parked up :D although she probably didn't realise she was still parked outside my property but at least she wasn't annoying my dogs.

felt so sorry for her horse she was a bit of a unit

Looking at the slope of the land , I'd say the sewer and water are underground at the front so try to avoid digging to deep. As somebody else said a decorative boulder with your mums house number on it, as a "present" or maybe 2 one each side of the driveway. They would only need a shallow concrete base so would not impact on the mains. The other option is over water the hedge , with several of the sprays pointing to far to the left,so the neighbours front yard becomes very wet . Being Landry owners we know what happens to wet dirt constantly driven on. It will make an interesting YouTube vid

yeah but if its wet and muddy they will probably just wheel spin it and cover his mums house in wet mud :D

Got a few mates that would be classed as "bogans" becuase of their cars and opionions on cars etc. You would have no problems dealing with them and they are great people.

I have had my fair share of dealings middle wealth overweight females…..ill take the bogans thank you very much

At least it isn't like "HOUSO's" they are worse.
On mums other side a strange bloke bought the house. If a dog barks anywhere, we comes out and hides in the bushes and screams out abuse.
He is never seen, he's like a stalker, every time my sister visits mum as soon as she leaves he's out hiding in the bushes. I believe he's some sort of scientist or some thing.
Mum caught him in behind the property fence cutting branches ,off his tree
and throwing the trimmings over the fence. So mum picked them up and threw them back over his side of the fence as they were his trees.
He always hides inside his house and then comes out and hides behind trees. When sprung he retreats back inside his house. A real Weirdo.

Next . Mum had a couple of large gum trees on the back fence, one day she noticed that the neighbors behind had climbed over the fence and tied a large rope around it and was using it as a crane on their side to lift motors out of cars, then we had a peak over the fence and noted a plantation of Hooch, they always had people coming at night and real loud. A quick photo through a hole in the fence taken to the local D's had the operation shut down.

Trouble these days is neighbors that own their homes move and then rent out their properties and the slack back ground checking of agents
allow these sort of people to invade areas.

Sadly you can't reason with idiots. No point getting angry, just have to be smarter than them, which by the sounds of it wouldn't be hard.

As they say, what goes around comes around.

Spread some sugar around where they park on their grass, after crossing your mum's driveway. The ants will swarm and when they get in/out of their car it will be a lively moment for them. The ants will eat the evidence too.

There's a fella down this way that owns a vineyard. He spends his days running up and down the rows barking like a dog, and yelling "BANG!" to scare the birds. :D

Drives the neighbours spare.
