Just a few more "beginner" questions if anyone can help... :)

Its a 2003.

I don't know what remap etc its got - but read that other similar upgrades that included a remap, larger intercooler and 3" exhaust can get close to 500nm of torque? Sounds awesome - can I expect something like this? With my driving style it would probably mean I'd just be more gentle on the accelerator and use the extra torque...

Would the above upgrade also include removal of the EGR normally?

The "3 inch freeflow exhaust" it has I guess will be pretty noisy for highway travel? Some folks have mentioned an annoying drone with systems like this?

Am I right with my research in that this model;

doesn't have ABS/TC?
Has a basic antistall system?
should have metal head alignment dowels?
Has a centre difflock that is activated when going into low range? IE there isn't an actual lever for it?
What diffs would it have? It does have maxidrive axles at the rear.

Also.. the Rave II cd only lists up to the year 2002 for defenders - but I assume this would have heaps of relevant info for a 2003?

Thanks and Merry Christmas everyone! :) I'm at home with the flu :(

500Nm is unlikely. 400ish maybe

You would expect the EGR to have been removed looking at the other work but its not a certainty

1. No, its a 130. They don't have either
2. sort of yes. If you don't touch the pedals they try their hardest!
3. yes
4. No. The CDL and low range are on the same lever. Forward for low range. left for CDL. forward and left for low range and cdl
5. Rover 2 pin front. P38 rear

#5, my guess: Rover type front, P38 type rear.

The vehicle may not have a P38 diff. I bought a Defender 110 in 2003 and it had a Salisbury diff (compliance plate - Year of Manufacture 2003)

I have since discovered that a Salisbury diff in a 2003 model was unusual but well worth you checking. Here's hoping it is a Salisbury.

This is the diff... which sort is it? :) I'm thinking a P38? I saw a pic of a comparison somewhere before and I think the Salisbury looked a bit more chunky?

Yep, its a P38 type.

Left rear brake line looks untidy!

Yeah I've moved it to be along the axle but can't see a neat way to fit it there... I guess there'd be some clips or something to use and not cable ties :)

Also I was wondering that on my compliance plates it says it was assembled in South Africa - is this pretty normal for a 2003 130?
