Howdy all,
Just a question that I could not find an answer to, so apologies if the answer is already there.
I have an ARB steel bull bar on my D1, it is not a winch bar, is it possible to modify it to take a winch, I only ask as it seems impossible to find a D1 winch bar for sale.
Thanks
Don

Yes can be done , I have done it , The legaities ?
It is easy to do as long as it is braced for the extra load on it from winching;)

I would take the bar off & attach the winch solidly to the vehicle so it is capable of winching the Disco without the bulbar. Then replace the bulbar & cut out the area for & attach the fairlead.
I've done this to 3 Counties & my current Defender without problems.

Can be done as said, depends on the size of the winch as to how much work you would need to do I have done a couple, where I have had to deepen the height of the main part of the bar to accept the winch. Not sure of the legalities though.

Doesn't X-Roc have a bullbar for a D1?
