Hello,
For some reason, the mirrors in my MY12 SDV6 SE have stopped folding back on locking the car. They stopped after going through the car wash the other day.
I've been through this car wash quite a few times before without an issue.
Any ideas?

My new D4 LH mirror started making a "creaking" noise. The dealer's service department suggested a reset which was holding both mirror buttons down together. This is done to manually turn the mirrors in instead of the automatic option if you want it - presumably in case you're going through a narrow space!!
Maybe you could try this if you have similar buttons.

Try leaving the mirrors folded before locking. Mine change habits sometimes and whilst I haven't proved the theory, it seems to occur after having manually folded then perhaps unfolded them.

Manual reset has done the trick. Thanks for that!

my 2011 sd se did the same but only after it was on the computer at the dealer to see whether I could get the mirrors to auto dip afterwards. havnt got memory seats therefor I don't have the module require to perform the auto dip he scanned the ecus and updated everything now only folds in when it wants too. ill also try the two button trick rang the dealer the tech said he can put it on the computer and retell the unit to fold
