This is old news, but new to me. Fascinating stuff, Bob

What a fascinating place. I tried to get onto a research trip 15 yrs ago , was short listed, but failed their face to face interview. Professorial types looking down their pince-nez don't like being challenged.
7km thick ice over thousands of square kilometres is a lot of water to melt. The gold coast beaches would be at my doorstep.....might tell my children to hang onto the old house. Prime real estate.

I agree. One of the most challenging environments on Earth, and probably the key to much of the planet's change and development that science is only just starting to get a handle on.

Not keen on going there though. I reckon I'd need to wear more than just shorts.:p

Maybe it's the cause of all the storms lately that have been hammering you......but missing me.....smiles.

Maybe. The storms have all come up from Beaudesert, which is practically speaking in Antartica. You're lucky you've got Mt Tamborine in the way. ;)
