The amount of visible HWY patrols cars and unmarked cars, and stop check points and the drug and booze buses I passed this arvo and will hit out tonight in Vic. If any one is foolish enough to risk driving over the limit they deserve to have Their brains discected to see if any common sense was in there. Every one seemed to be driving 5 - 10 kms under the speed limit, even fangios in souped up Commodores, Sorry can't pick on any Falcons or supras as there were none on the road

Same in Sydney, and rightly so too!

In the space of about 1 hours driving I saw 3 breath test units, 5 highway cars on the prowl, 2 people getting tickets and 1 getting their number plates removed.

I do feel sorry for the officers though, as it seems they never get to experience holidays like the rest of us... :(

Loads of coppers around this neck of the woods during the day, nothing after dark though.

They were as thick as flies around a garbage bin on the Island and surrounds last night, "have you been drinking this evening sir?" No,I hold an open Coach license! Thank you just take a big breathe and blow, it didn't change colour! He looked a little disappointed :D

Twice now whilst my wife and a couple of other members of the Ladies Guild were being driven to a Presbyterian Church function by Elders (real ones. 80+) they were stopped for an RBT.

"Have you had a drink today, Sir?"

"I have never drunk alcohol in my life. I am an Elder of the Presbyterian Church."

Sceptical coppers still had the bag blown.

They concentrate on known hot spots, take Franston Vic, 4 pubs across the road from one another, Late hours in the morning closing, known trouble spot, so they concentrate in those areas. it was easier to win lotto than to try causing trouble last night in that area.
