Hi Everyone,
sometimes----
when I stop/idle, the mighty V8i will hunt up and down, sometimes even stalls, sometimes idles at 1100 for a second or two,,
could this still be a fuel blockage?

Pedro clean the idle by pass stepper and spray with some wd40 and the port it screws into as well. Also set the base idle, I find this changes as the truck ages. To do this block the hose that feeds the stepper so no air can bypass. Now simply adjust the allen head grub screw at the back of the throttle body to about 650rpm, unblock the hose and your away. Make sure the engine is hot and you may have to rev it to keep it running until you adjust the base idle with the hose blocked. I do this every time I service a rover v8.

I used to have the same problem.
But it would never happen if I was on an angle, only ever happened on flat ground.
Had me stumped for ages.
Cleaned out everything I could think of from the air box to the fuel filter, not that they were worse than normal.
Didnt seem to work.
Had it down the beach and was running hot and hard all day and since then it hasnt happened again.
But now that I have said that it will probaly happen tomorrow :?
