For all practical intents and purposes it's not possible. From memory, someone has tried it but I cant remember if it was a success. In any case, the cost is prohibitive considering its only a $1000 option for new cars.
I waited and waited for a near new one with ediff but gave up in the end. Its still a very capable 4x4 without ediff.

Edit: here is a link to a guy in the UK that did it so if your brave... http://www.disco3club.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=943&start=20

If you do a search on the UK Disco 3 web site all the details are on there.
I think you can do it with reprograming but would be better off using an ARB one as I believe that they now make a front and back one for the Disco 3.
I have e diff so have not looked into it in detail.

Technically, it is possible but it's not easy...
You'd be better off looking at an ARB or something similar.

I hadn't realised ARB now did rear lockers for the D4.
Has anyone priced the one yet?

I hadn't realised ARB now did rear lockers for the D4.
They have been around long enough for them to be introduced and for the D4 then withdrawn - not sure what the issue is. Still available for the D3.
