crack or split in dash around passenger air bag

Hi my d3 has got a split in dash that follows outline of airbag! Any suggestions on how or who can fix I'm in Logan Queensland. Has anyone else had this problem.

I tried to get a quote from someone like The Leather Doctor to come and quote for a repair to my D3 dash (air bag was activated) but because of where we are they weren't so interested.

May work out cheaper to get a second hand dash from TRS in Adelaide though.

After you've fixed the dash, I suggest you buy a dash-mat to stop it from recurring.

That should be repairable by one of those Leather Doctor or automotive trim repair type places, it's not that bad.

thanx looks like a dash mat is goin to b a good idea! just googled and looks like it happens around airbag on range rover sports aswell!

The RRS dashboard is the same part as the D3, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they suffer the same issue. :D

My 05 is exactly the same, but It's already got a dash mat over it so looks fine.
