Well I scored a few BCF gift vouchers from various family members.
So a new VHF radio (Marine)was my idea of something I need.
So firstly I rang a couple of the local stores to make sure they had one in stock, but had all sold out.
So I went online to purchase it at a BCF a little further away that had stock, your order pay for it then pick it up at your leisure from the shop or get it mailed out.
All going well, secured one and went to pay. Options to pay were gift card, Pay Pal and Credit card.
The Gift cards I received were in $50 value.
The process was I had to fill in the gift voucher card number and enter the pin number on the card after scratching the goo off it.
Ok, fine it took the $50 payment and then asked how I was going to pay for the remaining difference on balance. Ok I then clicked on gift card, but this stupid system will not allow you to enter further gift cards, only choice was paypal or credit card.
So had to cancel the transaction.
So I will have to go in store to make the purchase. What a stupid system of trying to pay and order online.

I called into a store, and explained the problems to the store manager and he didn't know that it would process multiples, he also commented that they are always having problems with online.
Anyway, then left it to the cashier and it was a long process having to revise totals manually after each gift card was presented. Something I had no hope of doing online.
Some one didn't take that into account in setting up the software.

Might be a chance for Inc, ( to make some money) to use his computer talents to re-program the BFC website.:wasntme:

Was behind a couple at local BCF store, they had made purchases instore
and where paying for them with gift vouchers and cash.
Took about 30 minutes with the store manager called in , phone calls to head office and customers redirected to other checkouts.
felt sorry for them.

Some how the new cashless society doesn't have the same schmalzy feel as a wad of crisp hundreds in the hands. I worked for a jewish guy once and told he always told me that there is nothing like the feel of schwartz . He never used a wallet, he would fold them and put it in his pocket, so his hand could slip the hand in his pocket and get a feel:o. Today's systems deprives those fond memories.;)

Won't work with that new plastic stuff. It slips its way up and out of your pocket, and all over the footpath as you walk.

Used to love walking behind grandpa, picking up the 20's as they worked their way out.:D
