Access to a lathe

I am in need of a lathe to turn some wheel centres. A mate said I could use his, but has gone away and the racing season is fast approaching and I have no wheels. My lathe is way too small, the centres are about 250mm dia, and just need a skim to make the rim halves a snug fit. The rim halves are 13" and if I could test fit them on the bed it would be better, but not mandatory.
