Just finished the series "Game of Thrones" absolutely astounding, astonishing vast epic TV are words that come to mind. Do yourselves a favour peeps, buy, beg borrow or steal. BE AWARE, not for the faint hearted, and don't get too attached to any particular character lol.

HBO bring out some fantastic shows. Deadwood, Rome, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, the Sopranos, The Wire, Six Foot Under, Band of Brothers to name just a few of the many and varied productions.

Cheers
Pete

So that was the current three series that you have watched? There be series four coming along soon. As you noted. It would struggle a bit to get a pg rating.

Yep, it went on as soon as we were both home from work. Our Son had a few mates over as well to watch it as they don't get Foxtel - I saved them a download...

Also got other friends over that now want to go and watch the first 3 series...:D

Saw a guy yesterday with a shirt that said "The North wall and I immediately thought of "the North face" brand of hiking camping gear but them I read underneath in smaller writing" winter is coming" and thought "great!"
Sensational show, eh?!

On pay Tv but I dont have that- someone gave me a copy and I devoured them. Multiple plots and intrigue and the good sorts on it are just a bonus

Books first, then TV series and now also an Xbox 360 video game.

I am behind the times. We had an Xbox 360 but gave it away as we had no use for it.

That's just the one for season one....

I think you'd be dead by the end of an episode, let alone a season :p

I never thought I'd say this, but I feel sorry for Jaime Lannister....

Homestar
13th April 2014, 07:02 PM
Why???

Disco Muppet
13th April 2014, 07:03 PM
Because the rest of the Lannisters, Tyrion excluded, are all ****s!

Homestar
13th April 2014, 07:16 PM
Tyrion is awesome!!!!

Jamie is a turd....

Disco Muppet

Jaime did everything he did because he loved a woman.
Yes, that woman was his sister, which is slightly wrong.
I feel considerably more sympathy for Jaime than I do for Theon Greyjoy. I hate that guy.

Is sleeping with your Sister only 'slightly' wrong in Orange? ;)

It is considered very wrong around these parts....:D

Oh, and I agree about Theon - he's a right tosser...

Why do the Lannisters have such big beds?
Because they push two twins together to make a king. :Rolling:

Yes, Jaime is a **** person in the way the Lannisters pretty much all are.
But at least in my table of "people that need to die as soon as possible" he's about number 40.
1-35 are taken up by Joffrey :p

Homestar
13th April 2014, 08:29 PM
Ahhhh, Joffrey.... Not sure where you are up to or if you've read the books, so I won't give away any spoilers...

One of the best shows going around at present. As someone said before,HBO sure do put out some good shows.

I'm an avid reader and smashed out all the books in my few months so I know what's happening in the series. Looking forward to the next book release date...
