Went for a bit of a spin the other day.
Drove through Strath (sorry I didn't get to call in d@rk51d3), Mount Barker, Handorf.
(sorry I didn't get to visit sitec)

Spotted this little beauty hiding. Shorty S2a wide light.

No prob. There's always Melrose... It'd be nice if someone snaps this straight looking gem up for a resto.. Any narrowing down on the location or is that 'Classified'.. ;)

Snapped from the street. There was also a Wileys or Ford Jeep there.
Didn't see the owner. I've no idea how receptive they would be.

Being that it is in Strath, I am pretty sure I could drive straight to it.

From memory, it has been sitting there for years, but I never took that much notice.

If it is the one that I am thinking of, if you go into Strath from Mt Barker, heading towards Currency Creek, then it is on the right, near the last left bend on the way out of town.

Just past the CFS shed, if I remember rightly.

I regularly drive past a very similar looking landy on Hewett Ave in Hawthorndene. Sits out the front of a place along with a bunch of 'stored' heaps. Seems to be in reasonable condition but has unusual round windows in the side panels.

is that in the place high side of road on a corner? (its been a long time but it used to be in a driveway there if what a mate tells me is correct)

High side of road but its one property from the corner. Sits in driveway now and never seems to move, but not many cars do on this property...

I think its the same one your mate has seen. Road curves around this block so thinking its on the corner is entirely possible.

Spotted a 101 northbound on Port Wakefield rd heading towards Bolivar this evening at about 4.45.

It was sat at the speed limit too (not bad for a 101).... That was me and 107gus coming back from a shopping spree in the city, collecting stuff for Gus's next leg of his trip! :D

Within minutes of being home, we were stood chatting in the yard, and a pair of what looked like 130's pulled up at the corner on Balmoral Road. The first was a Red Td5 with custom box on the rear and a trailer towing a Series 1 with ROPS. The second was a white 130 Td5 also with custom box. They took off b4 I had chance to flag them down! :o

Funny u should say that.. Just traveled from Kingston SE South of Adelaide back to the Barossa in the 101 today... Saw lots of late Discos and RR's.. Not one returned the wave. Saw a nice 130 towing a caravan south of Talem Bend and did get a wave! Seems the wave is lost with the later 'non agricultural' Land Rovers!! :D

I dunno. We got quite a few waves from a variety of Landrover models in SA when we travelled through late last year. (Maybe it was all the camping gear etc we had on the roofrack). :)

It's almost unheard of to receive a return wave from another Landrover here in WA when driving the D4. Get more waves in my young bloke's Mazda RX7. :p

You need a new map.
I reckon it was a black 101. I'm also tipping the 90 was actually a Series 2 Lightweigt or there was a Series 2 Lightweight in the vicinity or there was another 101 in the vicinity.
It was probably AJ, Mick and company returning from their Simpson Desert trip.

Didn't have a camera with me, nor did I have my wife with me, as I usually use her notebook to take pics. My phone pre dates the "ice age" so it's pointless taking photos with it. :)
I have actually put my "spotted" entry in the wrong thread too, as Merbein is in Victoria, only about 120 kay from the South Oz border though. ;)

I am not far from Woodside and need to look harder next time I'm going through [emoji108]
Going through the town of Woodside the other day.

Saw a nice collection of Landies. There was a 130, an old series, a couple of RR classics and a few others.

Delivering apples to a little town called Lenswood, which takes me through Woodside. Can't take a Bdouble there.

Had to split the trailers at Mount Barker and take them one at a time.

An hour and a quarter turnaround, a right PITA.

I thought it was an odd place for a double, so assumed you were vacationing, time of year and all that.

More info. What is the Ladies Tour Down Under and where is the 76.5 mark?

I was referring to the Tour of Australia, our version of the Tour de France, currently being held around Adelaide, a yearly cycling road race, comprised of several stages, one per day. Normally, the start is designated as in a countdown manner, for example 200 kms to go until the finish. Stages | Santos Tour Down Under (https://tourdownunder.com.au/race/stages)
