New AULRO idea

I want to set up an area that features some of the members LR's.

This will not be a part of the forum but just an area to show your pride and joy and also explain the work you have done to it.

Will have photo's and storys together on one or two pages per member. as well as parts list's and suppliers if they are known.

Think of it as an online magazine story for your Landrover.

I need to know if you the members are interested.

If enough interest is show I will be asking for submissions from you all.
So how off on the emails for now ok.

Please submit your vote and let me know your interest level.

One suggestion: The 'heading' for each vehicle should feature the vehicle type and not just the name of the owner. This will make it easier for those who are looking for a specific model.

For example, someone might like to look up Defenders because they have excellent taste. SOmething like that. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Start thinking about your submissions.

Need NEW photo's not what you already have in the gallery.

Vehical details, including history for the series people.

Parts lists
what you have added or replaced

Modifications, things that are differant and not off the shelf parts.

Suppliers that have helped you out or even the guy next door.
anyone you want to thank for work they have done.

Include anything you think might be interesting to everyone else

I think you've hit on something. One thing I've notice about being a landrover nut is that you become obsessed with:

* owning something a little bit different (not japanese - nothing against jap engineering, I think it's great, I have an Isuzu under the bonnet);
* creating something a little different;
* perving on other boxes on wheels (landrovers), to see what the owners done.

All in order to achieve 4x4 nirvana.

I haven't owned this defender for very long. It's still basically a stock standard vehicle at this stage, as money comes along I get various stuff done to it. If you're after someone slowly getting his vehicle right, then I'm happy to help, but as i said, at this stage there is no modifications done to it.

You dont need to have had any changes made at all.

Anyone can add themselves and their Landie no matter how stock standard or modified it might be.

As each member's submission is added they can then add updates or extras as they occur down the track.
