I've had a G84MAN sitting in the garage for a while now,, and with this latest gas problem now requiring new lines on the twins underneath, I thought it might be the right time to install it.

I really dont want a hole in the side of the car,, what are my alternatives if installation is on the rear floor?
If the unit will auto swap when the current tank is empty,, can i get it to auto swap between gas tanks? or just use the empty alarm as a prompt to switch over?
anything else I need to be aware of?

very interesting,,
does the vertical (one set above and one below the floor) nature of my tanks make a single filler a no-go?

Fitting one tank above another is perfectly OK but running 3 tanks off one filler is unlikely to be successful. One or more of the tanks will likely overfill. It's the splitting of the flow rate between 3 tanks that reduces the flow rate per tank below the minimum where the AFL is designed to operate. Height doesn't really affect flow rate enough in this circumstance.

Once upon a time, Mexican gas fitters used to put the filler in the top face of the rear bumper. I suspect it's still possible.

I'll check with No3 son in Broome - that's where the D1 is now. I'll get the D2 flik up pronto.
