Side view mirrors problems

Hi guys

My side mirror has become detached after a sdlight knock. I have a attached some pics. Not sure whether its come off its clips or clips have been broken and now i face a need to buy a complete side mirror unit??

Should pop right back on, at worst there is a wee plastic part that breaks/falls out when this happens that will need replacing.
I exchanged wing mirror love with someone years ago and had exactly the same thing.

Thanks steve. But this may sound like a stupid quest. How does it pop in or more importantly how do i do it without breaking mirror.. Because i have tried it a number if times??

Looks like the clips are broken so maybe some silicone will hold it on.
