Take one out and scratch my head, I am now black but once was red.

A horse travels a certain distance each day. Strangely enough, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles. It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true. Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?

Thought I would wake up some brain cells around here,

See if you can answer these and I will let you know if you are right or not.

Answer them using the quote, so we know what you are answering

I think the word is "challenge" starting in the top right corner.

I disagree Ian,
Brothers and Sisters have I none but that mans Father is my Fathers Son, who am I?

Old mates Father only has one Son, because "Brothers and Sisters have I none", Therefore if "that mans Father is my Fathers Son" then old mate is "that mans Father".

Clear as mud.

I'm not confident enough to debate it, Mick. I was relying on a failing rememberer. That riddle was first put to me and answered, by my grandfather when I was but a very young tacker. [biggrin]

From Kungfu Panda the other day, don't even ask how I ended up watching that,...

What do you put in a barrel to make it lighter?

(No need to PM me for the answer as there are several variations on the web.)

A man pointing to his son is narrating, he is the son of the grandfather of the boy he is pointing to.

A father and his son are involved in a car accident. The father is killed and and the son seriously injured.

The son is rushed to hospital and when the doctor enters the surgery says "this is my son I can't operate"

Explain.

The doctor is his mother.

Didn't expect this to take long. Back in the day when this was first bought up, being a doctor was almost a male thing.

Although female doctors did exist, they were few and far between.

This would then tend to stump people when the question was posed, as people did not think of a female doctor being the injured boy's mum.

There can only be 'an amount' of letters in the can, i.e. one amount.
