This morning I acquired two of my favourite movies.
The Tracker, with my favourite Aussie actor David Gulpilil, top stuff.
The Fringe Dwellers, a real beauty.
All involved done a brilliant job to give a truly remarkable insight into the lives of those folk living on the edge back then and still today.
Any of those people portrayed could have been my mates from our time living around Bourke and the Brewarrina district during the sixties.
I only had one white mate at the time, the rest Aborigines. Lovely people.
Wife and I lived with an Aboriginal family ( the Hennessy's ) for twelve months when we first arrived in Bourke.
Great time great fun.
