Hi All,
My tires are due for a change, and was hoping to get something with more grip.
I have asked my dealer, but they have come up short from there suppliers.
Anyone got options for a 255/50R20?

More grip on-road or off-road?
There are a number of options for tyres in this size depending on how much you want to spend and what you want to do with them, you can even go slightly wider to get A/T tyres.
I'm looking for tyres for my D4 and you can see my post here (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/189038-20-tyres.html).

More off road than on road. So stupid question, on 255 can i run 275?
I like the look of the coopers Zeon's but they seem to big

Mate go into Google and type your size in they have heaps from ****ty road tread tyres to really good road tyres and even mud terrain tyres. So it will depend on what u want. I run 275/45R20 road tyres though and they look small on mine mate.

I'm not sure about WA, however in NSW we can legally go +20mm on width so 275 is OK. For diameter the national standard is +50mm however it will depend if the tyre will rub on anything for both width and diameter on a L322.
I can't find anything in AT or MT at 255 but there are options for 265, 275 and 285.
As posted 275 45 20 will fit although the diameter is slightly smaller and you will lose some sidewall height, for off-road use more sidewall is better.

I just today picked up a set of 4 Cooper Zeon LTZs - one nearly new and the others with about 50-70% tread - for a one-off trip to the Kimberley later this year. Got them for $55 each, didn't seem much sense to buy new ones.
I'm told they're a fit for the 20 inch standard RR rims for my 2012 L322. I was going to look around for higher sidewall versions, but I was worried about rubbing in the wheel wells and fitting a spare. Be interesting to see how they go.
So now I'm back to having a garage full of wheels/tyres - the set of Kahns/22s currently on the car, the original Continentals on 20s, and this new set. And I still need to find another 2 Coopers for spares.
