Very unlikely to find one of them. They were a special item (fibreglass) made for the army only. But you can fit a Series tropical roof onto a County, these are still around on some wrecks.

Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide had or have one on a Series 3 (I think) that looks to be in good condition if it hasn't been sold. Last saw it a couple of months ago do may still be there.

Two of the original fibreglass suppliers to Project Perentie are located in Tamworth, NSW and are still in business. Might be worth giving them a call.
Jakab Industries ((02) 6765 4155) are the makers of Ambulance and GMV/ERV bodies. The Tropical roof is smaller than their usual fare, but it could have been them.
Ultimate Fibreglass ((02) 6762 2789) made the transmission tunnels, and also the 6x6 bonnets. Also could have been them that made the Troppo roofs.

Jakab are long gone but Ultimate are still there and I think they may have been the makers of the f/g roof, and if so may even still have the form.
Worth giving them a call. They could end up with a bulk order.

Prime composites make them. I got a quote but couldn't justify the expense at the moment. A bulk order may bring prices down. They also make some instrument binnacles and I think they can make the bonnets in fiberglass.

Around $1500 for a white one if I remember correctly. But shipping would be a significant extra cost if you lived interstate.

I think I'll have to stick with the marine ply floor on the roofrack for the time being
Did the TD5 remedials have something like that ?

Where can I obtain one of these for my county? They were only fitted to the early roofs with the large ribs, the later flat roof county like the defenders don't have the ribs to mount them.
There is an auto accessories fibreglass mob in Moorebank NSW that make body kits for all manner of cars. We have already spoken to them and if they can borrow an original, they'll make up a mould so can then make as many tropical roofs as there are customers who want to buy them. The roofs will be on-order, as they would be a slow moving part so they won't make them and hold in stock.

I'm also in for a group buy if the price is good.
