When you look at this shower, a reasonably equipped disciplined UN force should have this sorted fairly quickly. Another UN farce? Bob

Bob I've lived and worked in Africa , one of the problem many people in the western world seem to think that African males are like say males from the USA. I have to be careful because saying It the what I have seen It can upset , or I end up being called a racist , I don't think Africa will solve It's problems in my or my children's lifetime , and that's no matter how much money ,or help we try to give .

My take with so many of these conflicts around the globe is that individuals do not identify as belonging to a 'state' but rather a cultural group whether it be religious, race based or ethnicity.

For all it's misgivings, the US has this to a tee - patriotism. If the SSudenese identified with being SSudanese, maybe they'd work together. We are getting there with Australia Day but still had the riots in Cronulla around those not identifying as 'Australian'.

To me, identifying as being part of a soveriegn state is the start to peace and prosperity...ok more prosperity than peace but they'd be on their way.

Cheers
Ralph

giving money to Africa wont work it will only line the pockets of the dictators and militants. if ya do anything it would be to industrialise it but even then it will prob take a century or 2

had some friends out from America and it was funny they would ask an Australian where there from and get told Australia, ask them and they would isrish American or itialian American etc and a lot of that happens everywhere else in the world
