Hello All,

At the risk of sounding like a cheap so and so…..
Its service time for the Defender and I was ringing around to check on filter availability and rang REPCO to get a price and availability on a RYCO Rotor Filter, Part Number R2698P (taken from the online parts catalogue). Now I know that the Gen filter is $30. So can anybody tell me why a RYCO filter is $87?
Really!, almost 3 times the cost of the Gen item. Nothing like the feeling that someone wants to rip you off.
Happy to say that LR gets my business tomorrow.

cheers,

Nino.

Ring MR automotive for your parts...

the repco parts are dearer because the dont sell lots of them.

I would only use genuine or Mann and Hummel who make genuine. I'm sure that not all of them spin up properly from the sound or lack of sound that some make.

Me too, I went online (repco) for an air filter...$130? WTF? so I called the store and was quoted a much friendlier $29.50 for the same part number, go figure...As for MR Automotive, $90 for front brake pads I think I'll stay with repco.

enjoy the lower performance disc eating pads but it is nice that they dont produce as much brake dust and last a fair while.

(unless repco is using a different supplier to the mob they had last year)
