Hi Team,
Ive recently purchased a D1 unregistered.
Rocked up to motor reg with the details I thought I needed, but I didnt have engine number :(
So had to go home to find this. Found out its under the AC unit on the 300tdi motors. I was feeling pretty lazy due to the heat and couldnt be bothered doing so.
So I thought it would be a long shot, but worth a try to give Mac LR a call and see if they could provide the engine no from the vin no I had.
Initially they were unable to do this, but they persisted and suggested trying to get it from the rego plates. Bingo, engine no found thanks to the persistence of the helpful lad on the phone.
Now this car was sold years ago by Mac Land Rover, they were under no obligation to help. But the lad went out of his way to help us out. Top form Mac Land Rover!
If their service is this good all the time, you lads down the south east are onto a good thing!
