Of course I am talking about Blakes 7.
I remember watching it as a kid on the ABC late at night during the summer.
Managed to find complete series 1-4 and have almost finished watching the entire series.
Loved it as a kid, still like it now.
And of course still like the number 1 sci-fi show in history....Doctor Who.
Cheers

No.
Shows with the mationettes included Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90 and Stingray..
Interestingly, there were two seasons of the Thunderbirds. Both were made at the same time using two sets of marionettes and two production crews.
Oh, one of the voices in the Thunderbirds was the Aussie actor Ray Barret (John Tracy and The Hood). Charles "Bud" Tingwell voiced Doctor Fawn in Captain Scarlet and also voiced a few minor marionettes in the Thunderbirds.

Awesome dark sci-fi. There are the odd rumour now and then that someone is going to do a remake, (hopefully someone like AMC does it, well any other studio than Fox!).

Apart from the re-boot of Doctor Who, which I do like, ive never been much of a fan of re-boots to classic Sci-Fi.
I love the old Blakes 7 for what it is/was.
I also have a tendancy to name my devices: zen, orac and slave, not to mention davros, dalek and tardis.

How could anyone forget DALEK INVASION OF EARTH: 2150AD. If not the greatest movie of all time, surely top 10, which also co-starred a young Bernard Cribbins who became an integral figure on the contemporary Dr Who.
I suppose we could also add David Bradley who portrayed William Hartnell playing Dr Who in Adventures in Space and Time.

& isn't ironic that David Tennant married Peter Davidson's daughter - isn't that incest or something?

I am still a great fan of UFO though, with SHADOW and the Interceptors. I love the fact that in the opening sequence that the year 1980 keeps getting flashed up as if to indicate that being set so far in the future everything ion the programme is possible. I don't recall Purple hair and string vests ever taking on though.

UFO was another Gerry Anderson production. If anyone wants to send me a late christmas present, I am yet to add Fireball XL5, Supercar and Secret Service to my Gerry Anderson collection.

Im just looking for any where I can update my collection.
I only have the first 6 episodes from William Hartnell
None from Patrick Troughton.
So apart from the "lost episodes" if there is anyone that has "any" episodes from these 2 early doctors, that would be great.

Blake's 7 were filming an episode in Swanage (Dorset) when I and a group of friends were climbing on nearby cliffs.
That night we were in a pub sampling the local ale when Tarrant and Dana walked in. Dana was wearing something that left absolutely nothing to the imagination. Took us a while to force our eyeballs back in their sockets :D
Loved the series. I have it on VHS, must get a DVD set (about £40 in the UK.)
