Can they all reset intervals?
I'm not sure if a generic type OBD-II reader would be able reset the service indicator, but the following can:
*Blackbox solutions Faultmate MSV-2 or Nanocom
*GAP Diagnostics IIDTool. IIDTool for Land Rover - GAP Diagnostic (http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool.html)
*Hawkeye
There's probably others too.

BLack box solutions Have just released a new nanocom evolution for CAN BUS vehicles (D3 etc).
Right now it does the basic stuff , read and clear faults, alter EAS Heights and other and BBS is releasing regular new updates to increase its abilities.
It can reset the service intervals to 6 monthly or 12 monthly intervals. I could not get mine to reset the service interval to the km/monthly combo as per aussie specs but I expect they will address that.
Check their website.

When I posted the link it took me direct to the item.
If you haven't found it - click on Blackbox Basic Bits on the left. Then scroll down the listed products to BCSRTS near the bottom and all details are there if you hit more information.
For some reason links to products do not come up when copied and pasted on this site.
To answer your question you can set distance and time intervals together eg 12000km and 12months - there is a range of options

I use a a faultmate MSV-2 to reset the SII
There is a bug in the quick reset which sets up an incorrect service interval for RRS
They may have fixed this, but I use the longhanded method to reset, where you fill out the boxes in table

Is this a fault in the faultmate or the little kicker resetter??
