Just bought a set of front and rear puma seats to fit into my county! I have searched the forums for tips and photos and can see that the front of the rear cargo wheel arches need to be cut and reshaped for the rear seats to sit correctly. Anyone out there got tips, advice or photos for the mods?

Even if a puma owner could post photos and measurements of the factory setup, that would be appreciated.

Hope this is what you were after. The measurement is 9 1/2 inches along the bottom of the chamfer.

Good video on fitting the rear seats here. Please post what you learn, I'm thinking of doing this.

Thanks Dorian. Can you please measure a few more bits for me. If you can imagine the chamfer making a right angled triangle, with the tape measure being the bottom, can you provide measurements for the other two sides please. I'll draw the triangle on mine and use that to cut out the shape I need.

Does anyone know if the plastic shroud around the floor brackets has to be fitted? I'm thinking of just having the metal brackets only...

the 9.5 is the length along the bottom (241) , the hypotenuse is 320 mm. the height is the same as the shelf height of the car. I have lined my cargo bay with Dyna mat so the dims are estimated to be what they should be without the matting. Apologies, went fishing yesterday so didn't log in.

You don't need the plastic cover, but a couple of things, with it on you can slide boxes over the bracket, you will have to cut the holders for the cover that should be on it now. If you put carpet in the rear the cover anchors the carpet pretty well.

Thanks Dorian,
AFAIK the shelf height in the pumas is different to previous models. Any chance you could post that measurement as we'll so I can check?

Lets say A & B are the 2 right angle sides of your triangle, C is the long side or Hypotenuse.

A squared + B squared = C squared

C squared = 320 squared = 102400

A squared = 241 squared = 58081

B squared = C squared - A squared = 44319

B = square root of 44319

B = 210.5207828 say 210.5mm

Haha, I actually knew that.

I remember betting my maths teacher that I would never need to use trig in the real world... Now I owe him my favourite hypercolour tshirt.

72495Now I just need to sort which bolt goes where. Can anyone be so kind as to take some photos of the mounting hardware on their puma. If you could please include the underside of the front and rear seat mountings

Seat base hasn't changes much in 30 years. I kept the county bottom seat brackets and bolted the new seats to it.

Working out how the seats mount.

Can anyone tell me if there are brackets on the underside of the body. Trying to figure out the seats are just bolted up or if I'm missing brackets with captive bolts.

The mounts for the seat end up very close to the body mounts. I don't think the puma has body mounts here.

Last job is to fit the little support brackets. Made a template out of cardboard first...

Can anyone tell me how firm the brackets are against the stop. Are the seats gently resting against them?
