Redhead Beach just south of Newcastle is attracting an unwanted element who appear hell bent on making it harder for responsible four wheel drivers to enjoy this beach. Seems to be getting worse as the hoons are finding it more difficult to get onto Stockton Beach with the increased restrictions on beach access there, so they head for Redhead beach. There are no restrictions on Redhead Beach, but that may change soon.

I haven't been to Stockton in a few years.

Apart from a permit - what are the current set of restrictions for Stockton beach.

There didn't seem to be anything too onerous here: Port Stephens Visitors Information Centre - 4WD BEACH PERMITS (http://www.portstephens.org.au/see-and-do/the-sand-dunes/4wd-beach-permits)

For the past 18 mths, beach front driving only from Lavis Lane north to Gan Gan, share the southern end with quads and buggies.
