Fuel pressure issue?

Opinions please.
3.5 manual dual fuel, when running on petrol wont idle, no power(struggled just going up to kinglake from wittlesea). I believe ig timing to be ok(4to5degrees+).
From idle tap acc and initially dies, needs to be pumped.
Likely to be pump or fuel reg?
Vac hoses ok.
How do I test for fuel pressure?

Well, stuck a new fuel pump in yesterday.
See how that goes.

Have'nt had a chance to power test it up a hill but the hesitation has gone off the line at traffic lights, also a lot quieter on start up

I popped a new pump in mine 2 weeks ago, good news more power, bad new more fuel consumption :(
