Are you aiming for something like this?
https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

In which case unless your spouse or partner is a bit more tolerant than mine, you may have to put up with comments like,"Unless you trim that beard, I'm not going anywhere with you".

It needs to look like this or it won't look right :)

I have received the' you look like a terrorist ' comment. Also ' it's softer then it looks comment.' But I think that pic is right on the money. I've pulled out my Akubra so it all fits together nicely. I can even keep my Akubra on while in the defender to.

over the summer I thought I would do the same. I love eating custard. I had to change to the thick stuff. My dirty ginger beard was getting all sorts caught in it.
Ron has put on a lot of weight now with all the extra food :p

Isuzu drivers MUST have beards so the rest of us don't have to watch your double chins shaking violenty. You do need to use beard fire retardent though as who knows when a piece of the drivetrain is going to explode or hit the road in a shower of sparks.

Shake, Rattle and roll:p

Oh yes - just the George Michael beard look, nothing else!!

Mrs Spud doesn't like long hairy beards. Says they capture too much foodstuff :p

Hey,

Twenty years ago 3yr old daughter referred to a clean shaven type as "that man with a ladies face". All the adult men in her life at that time were properly equipped.

I guess shampooing and conditioning the beard is out of the question ?

LOL they do not shake Violently they vibrate which keeps you trim. The diameter of the steering wheel ensures the double chinned potbellied bunch can only drive defenders. As for fire risk? no electrical shorts to worry about unlike a defender. And why do defender owners keep on retrofitting 110 drivtrain bits to there defenders?? Maybe it because the defender bits have exploded in a shower of sparks--- More fire risk LOL

Damn, I just removed the 'Harley' beard. You telling me I have to regrow it in this new fangled 'defender' style.
I fear it's going to get covered in grease and oil again, which was the driving force behind removing the 'Harley' beard.
But can I wear the 'defender' beard on the Harley or do I have to shave and regrow when I swap vehicles?

I saw a pretty awesome Defender/Beard combination yesterday afternoon on Victoria road at Ryde.
130 dual cab (300TDI) with hard canopy and KLR stickers on the side and rear.
The old fella (sorry, Mature gent) navigating had one of the most awesome Land Rover beards that I have seen in a while....... Definitely only fitting for either the owner of a 130 or an Isuzu County, it would have been out of place in one of the new fangled electrickery gizmo'd Defenders.
If you are the owner or know the owner of this vehicle (NSW Rego XFN511), please post a photo of this masterpiece and share it with the rest on the forum.
Mike.

Also, which comes first when describing it? Defender/Beard or Beard/Defender?

I have noticed the younger generation of defender owners are sporting trimmed and tidy and shapely beards with reciprocating haircuts. Maybe they should be called the Puma Beard.
